Qian Xu, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Researcher
I'm a postdoc who joined the NeuroBatLab in the summer of 2026. I'm interested in how the brain integrates signals from the body and the environment to generate internal states, and how these states shape natural and social behavior. During my PhD, I studied body-brain interactions through the Intrinsic Cardiac Nervous System (ICNS). In the NeuroBatLab, I'm excited to explore physiological and social internal states in bats and how they influence behavior and interactions with others. Outside the lab, I enjoy exploring nature with my dog, ice skating, and all sports.
